Voyeurism In A State Of Confined Transition
This fine art piece explores themes of restraint, identity, and resistance through a mixed-media installation. Using a reclaimed vintage barn window as both frame and metaphor, the work references confinement, observation, and the gateway between loss and flourish . The central imagery depicts the artist wearing a garment inspired by a straitjacket—symbolizing imposed control—captured in moments of struggle and attempted liberation. .
This piece is inspired by my teenage years, moving to a place where I didn’t feel like I could be my absolute self. Back when I was feeling as through I was in a constant state of transition.
